The Bedtime Reset is general parenting education for parents and caregivers of elementary-aged children. It is not therapy, diagnosis, crisis support, medical care, mental-health treatment, or an individualized treatment plan.
The toolkit may be useful when bedtime takes longer than you want or when it is hard to move from play to bed. It uses a small visual plan, clear tasks, specific praise, and a free shared activity.
The toolkit does not assess, diagnose, or treat snoring, frequent waking during the night, very large tantrums, trauma, fear at bedtime, or other individual health or mental-health concerns. If these occur, ask your child's doctor or a qualified mental-health professional for help.
All behavior strategies must be used within the context of safety. Choose only tasks that are safe for your child, provide adult supervision when needed, and stop using a task that is not safe or appropriate.
Every family is different. Educational information and printable tools cannot guarantee a particular bedtime, behavior, health, or family result.
Birchside Parenting does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
